Yaowarat

Bangkok’s nightlife attracts is full of excitement and surprises. Among all, one place that stands out is Yaowarat, also called Chinatown. It’s a busy area with lots things and activities to do, like eating tasty food and shopping (shopping for elephant shirt or pants). Plus, a place where you can have fun, enjoy great food eg. Thai foods, Chinese foods etc, and find unique things to buy.

Great for exploring Chinese temples, gold shops, traditional herb stores, and old markets.

Very lively at night, with lots of neon signs in Chinese – great for street photography.

Lisa came to take a music video at Yaowarat. Global K-pop and Blackpink member Lisa chose Yaowarat as the main location to shoot the music video for her solo comeback single Rockstar in 2024. Another reason to make the area a hot photographic spot.

Streets Food Heaven: In the evening, the street coming dishes – from noodle soups and dim sum to mango sticky rice, Chinese dessert, Kuay Jap, Pad thai, fish maw, Fruits smoothie, Bua Loi and Chestnut.

Take the MRT Blue Line and get off at Wat Mangkon Station, exit no.1 or no.2.

Yaowarat doesn't have fixed opening and closing.
